Job summary: As an Operations Automation Associate in Commercial & Investment Bank, you conduct intermediate intelligent automation and business analysis to gather requirements from the Operational Function to translate process improvements and solutions for operations efficiencies. You gather information, execute, and implement automation and the digitization strategy to deliver the outcomes of the automation to support the Operations function.
Job responsibilities:
Engage stakeholders and analytics partners to support automation delivery end-to-end, including requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement
Contribute to the operational automation strategy and define metrics such as objectives and key results, key performance indicators, and benefits tracking
Partner with technology teams to create or enable infrastructure that supports both traditional coding and low-code automation capabilities
Select an appropriate end-to-end automation approach (for example, workflow automation, robotic process automation, decisioning, intelligent document processing, or AI-assisted triage) and translate requirements into a feasible delivery plan
Define outcomes and measurement (for example, capacity creation, risk reduction, cycle-time reduction, or error-rate reduction) and drive delivery to realize benefits
Drive user-centered design by translating user needs into practical workflow and interface decisions
Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring to improve reliability
Support post-delivery enablement through training, adoption support, and feedback-driven enhancements
Coach and mentor junior team members on automation tools and delivery practices, including contributing to training materials
Maintain documentation discipline to support governance, controls sign-off, and audit readiness
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Five years of experience leading or coordinating process improvement, automation, or technology-enabled change within operations, shared services, controls, or a comparable environment
Experience acting as a project manager or product owner for cross-functional initiatives, including intake, prioritization, delivery planning, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, and outcomes tracking
Strong process discovery and documentation skills, including current-state and future-state mapping and writing testable requirements (user stories and acceptance criteria)
Working knowledge of operational risk and controls expectations, including governance, audit readiness, documentation, and change management rigor
User-centered design capability, including wireframing or prototyping using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
Technical literacy to partner effectively with engineers and automation developers, including understanding of workflows, robotic process automation, integrations, data flows, and AI-enabled solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready status reporting and decision documentation
Experience with automated testing and delivery practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across levels, including senior stakeholders and technology partners
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field
Experience delivering in a scaled environment with multiple concurrent initiatives and competing stakeholder priorities
Experience with intelligent automation operating models and tools (for example, UiPath or similar robotic process automation platforms; intelligent document processing solutions; workflow tools; and automation intake and governance)
Exposure to AI capabilities used in operations (for example, large language model assistance, natural language processing, classification, or extraction), including awareness of responsible use and model risk considerations
Exposure to process mining tools and using insights to size opportunities and validate benefits realization
Experience with low-code platforms (for example, Microsoft Power Platform) and familiarity with database concepts to support solution design discussions
Experience with Monday.com or a comparable project management and workflow tool
