OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST Provide assessments, intervention, and support services to students with disabilities or delays that impact their ability to access and participate in their educational program; Collaborate with the educational team to support the student's fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills in the school environment; Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments as part of the special education eligibility process; Develop and implement individualized Educational Program (IEP) goals related to occupational therapy; Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed; Maintain appropriate documentation and compliance with federal, state and local special education regulations; Educate and train school staff and parents on strategies to support student participation and independence; Attend IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions and planning; Utilize evidence-based practices and keep current with professional development.
